• Technical information such as IP address, browser, device, log entries and security events

Napair processes personal data to provide and administer its services, including creating and securing customer accounts, registering and managing domain names with registries, processing payments, providing customer support, handling complaints and abuse reports, meeting legal, regulatory and registry requirements, and protecting Napair, customers and registrants against fraud and abuse.

Where applicable data protection law applies, Napair relies on the following legal bases: performance of a contract (to deliver the services you have ordered), compliance with a legal obligation (including registry rules and abuse handling), legitimate interests (operating, securing and improving Napair’s services) and, where required, consent (for example, optional marketing communications).

When you register, renew, transfer or manage a domain name through Napair, certain registrant information must be submitted to the relevant domain registry. Registries may publish or share parts of this information in accordance with their rules (for example, Nominet’s rules for .uk domain names). You will be informed of the applicable registry terms before completing a .uk domain order, as described in our Domain Registration Terms.

Napair shares personal data only as needed to provide the services. Categories of recipients include domain registries and registry operators, escrow providers, technical service providers (such as hosting, DNS, email, payment processing and security providers acting under contract), law enforcement or regulatory bodies where required by applicable rules or law, and professional advisers.

When you contact Napair’s customer support team or submit a complaint, we process the personal data you provide in your message to investigate, respond and keep a record of the interaction. Complaint records are retained for a reasonable period to allow follow-up and escalation as described in our Complaints Procedure.

When an abuse report is submitted to Napair, we process the information in the report to assess and respond to the abuse and, where appropriate, to contact the registrant, the registry, or relevant authorities. See our Abuse Reporting page for details of the review process.

Payment data is handled by our payment service provider in accordance with applicable payment security standards. Napair does not store full payment card numbers on its own servers.

Personal data is retained for as long as needed to provide the services, to comply with legal, regulatory and registry requirements, to handle complaints and abuse matters, and to protect Napair’s legitimate interests. Domain registration records may be retained for as long as required by the relevant registry.
